For 2011, its 5th edition, professional women golfers once again responded in numbers to this high-level competition which forms part of the LETAS circuit (Ladies European Tour Access Series, the second division European professional women’s circuit). ?78 players, 19 nationalities and an enthusiastic public graced the greens of the Bussy-Guermantes Golf Course for the competition between 12th and 15th October 2011. Everything came together for a great sporting moment: eminently determined players, high emotion, sporting prowess, a thrilling game formula, a particularly popular technical course and mild weather. The professional golfers produced a hard-fought competition, giving no quarter. Their commitment gave rise to some thrilling duels in which strategy and concentration emphasised the values of this sport so demanding of self-control. A great performance from Dutch player Marieke Nivard, demonstrating huge determination in the face of her formidable adversaries, helped her to carry off the trophy. Finishing with an impressive score of minus eight, she came in 3 shots ahead of French golfers Elena Giraud, Joanna Klatten and Camille Fallay, as well as the English player Henrietta Zuel (two-times winner of the LETAS) and the Dane Marjet van der Graaff, all with a score of minus five.
